The Collaborative Research Awards Program is a two-year funded research award meant to bring together a study team across at least two academic institutions. The award is intended to be led by at least early career investigator, supported by a mentor local to their institution.

We encourage study teams to consider involving more than one early career investigator and mentor in the study team.

The CRA is committed to supporting the development of early career investigators and offers opportunities for collaborative research with a focus on enhancing the health and well-being of all children, particularly those most vulnerable.  The CRA Program seeks to support a diverse team of early career investigators and mentors - in both lived experience and academic institution.

The Collaborative Research Awards Program offers the following funding paths for prospective applicants - Read about each path below:

APA's Call for Applications opens each summer for various programs.
The CRA will begin accepting proposals in Summer 2025.

Given the collaborative nature of this award, interested investigators are encouraged to begin preparing early and should reach out using the below question box with any questions they may have regarding the CRA.
