The Academic Pediatric Association is home to three practice-based research networks and manages the Better Outcomes through Research for Newborns (BORN) and the Continuity Research Network (CORNET).
BORN
The Better Outcomes through Research for Newborns (BORN) Network increases the evidence base for the care of term and late-preterm newborns through collaborative research projects. BORN’s mission is to improve the health of newborns and their families by establishing an evidence base for optimal outcomes and is comprised of national pediatric clinicians and researchers who evaluate care in the birth setting and, in the transition, to home.
CORNET
The Continuity Research NETwork (CORNET) is a national practice-based research networking comprised of pediatric residency continuity practices and advances children’s health by partnering with key stakeholders through rigorous research in primary care, health care delivery, improvement science, and medical education.
PRIS
The Pediatric Research in Inpatient Settings (PRIS) Network improves the health of and health care delivery to hospitalized children and their families through large multi-institutional studies.
