The acclaimed RAPID Mentoring and Career-Development Conference is held in annually in March. URiM residents, fellows, and early-career faculty committed to a career as a clinician-investigator are invited to apply to attend the meeting. Accepted individuals will attend with all expenses paid.
Highlights of this exciting Conference include:
- A panel discussion, conducted by RAPID NAC Members and Directors, who are leading senior researchers in academic pediatrics
- A speed-mentoring session in which participants receive mentoring from all RAPID NAC members and Directors
- Works-in-progress presentations by current RAPID Scholars
- A Hot Topics session in which Conference attendees get to as NAC Members and Directors
- Networking opportunities with leaders in the fields of health disparities, health services research, obesity, nutrition, sickle cell disease, immigrant health, pediatric infectious diseases, and a variety of pediatric subspecialties
- Guidance on creating a career-development plan for academic success.
- Extended one-on-one mentoring from RAPID NAC members
- A keynote speech by a special luminary leader in academic pediatrics
