Health Care Reform In The Us: Pros And Cons Of Universal Health Care

All of us know that visiting the doctor is not fun. You don’t like paying $20 up front. Some people don’t want the best medicine or surgery due to the price. Universal health care is seen as a way to help many people around the world. It is a harsh reality that universal health insurance has many negative side-effects. The federal governments should not implement a health care free program, because this will negatively affect the economy. It will also decrease the quality and care of patients who seek health care.

Health care that is free will compromise the quality of the care. If you are infected, it is important to receive the best care so that you can recover. It doesn’t matter if you have a coronavirus or not. This virus is wiping out people in America and China. The article “18 Pros and Con for Universal Health Care” has reported that doctors may have to rush through each appointment so as to provide care to the most people possible. It could lead to issues such as not receiving the right attention. The specialist may think that you are suffering from a common cold and prescribe you medication for it, but because they were hurried, you could have coronavirus. People’s health will be reduced if they are not able to choose the type of care that they receive from their insurance. Some people are willing pay more for better human services. When you are told by your doctor that you must get a certain medicine, they will make sure your insurance covers it. Doctors were shocked to hear that one patient had to wait 4.5 years before seeing a neurosurgeon in Ontario. The public will begin to think that visiting the doctor is a waste of time. Doctors spend about six years in school. The government has lowered the rate of payment for doctors (Slagle) to make them less likely to leave the practice. They work very hard to earn their degrees and they want to save lives. Plus, they make a lot of money. They’ll be upset if they hear that your annual compensation is going to be cut. They’ll be concerned because they spent so much time in school. “Americans earn on average $218,173 per annum as general practitioners. Canadian generalists were paid $146 286 as a comparison. A doctor may consider moving abroad, as Candida did. However, when they compare the salaries in their new country to the one they are currently earning in the US, the doctor will be satisfied with that salary. A doctor does not want to see their salary drop by that much. College is expensive. A good job can help you pay for college. It will create a shortage for doctors and cause problems. We will have a growing number of specialists who are increasingly stressed. This is because specialists are seeing more patients each day. Social insurance that is all-inclusive hurts individuals but we don’t want to reduce the compensation for specialists.

People will no longer care about their health, as the quality of care is compromised. Individuals who abuse drugs are less likely to care if they overdose because they know the emergency clinic can help. It shouldn’t be important if citizens pay for the treatment because you acted stupidly. Individuals should just focus on their own wellbeing. “There is no financial incentive to achieve fitness or health goals as everyone can access basic healthcare for free.” Most people won’t try to lose weight or become fit. Most will have a gastric diversion medical procedure, which changes the way your stomach works with nutrition. Surgery may not reduce stress, but being healthy can. When people feel ill, they will often overuse emergency medical care. Patients and specialists would rather not manage people who aren’t ill. The patient could bring in their symptoms and tell the doctor. As a rule, it’s not valid to mention the side effects. It is only necessary that they get their medicine. As people become less concerned about their health, our mortality rate will increase. If we didn’t pay, it would result in lower premiums. The fact that they will receive free services does not matter to them. People should always consider their health, as not everyone who is suffering can be helped by all medications or surgeries.

When the US deficit and debt increase, it will put the economy at risk. The majority of the money that they have could be used to benefit everyone. We and the administration would rather not increase the tax because someone feels that they are getting the smallest amount of money. According to a recent article “Will Health Care Reform Increase Deficit, National Debt and Debt?” the estimated new Medicaid spending will be $434bn over the next 9 years. The money will be used to build roads or for savings. You would be shocked if you learned that the majority of medical service fees are paid by people who need cosmetic surgery to appear beautiful. The federal expenditure of $32.6million would have an adverse impact on the economy. The federal debt we already have is so high that adding universal healthcare will cause us to suffer. “The American system of free markets is the source of most of the medical advancements in the developed world.” Without the free-market system, we wouldn’t have been able to develop new methods to treat cancer or use robots for surgery. We like to spend our money on projects that benefit the whole community, not just one individual.

There is no doubt that universal healthcare will anger people who thought that we would all benefit from free health-care. Health care quality will be compromised for all Americans, and this will cause many to suffer. People will soon stop taking care of their health. It will hurt doctors when it negatively impacts the economy. Then, universal health insurance will increase US debts and deficits. This is a reality that needs to be acknowledged and avoided by the US.
